The simple, single-story edifice was built in the late 19th century. Its main facade is determined by three risalits. The middle risalit is located in the symmetry axis of the building and a few steps are leading to the main entrance situated in the centre of the building part with three-axis. The corner risalits have two axis and the paired jack arched windows are surrounded by semicircular plaster decorations. All three risalits are closed by a triangular gable. A few crumbling stone steps are leading from the facade facing the former park to the wooden terrace. The once charming little terrace's elements are rotting, its windows are missing, as are the windows of the building's rare facade. The first and last owner of the castle was Mikes (V.) Zsigmond and then the estate was nationalized. In the period of communism it functioned as a girls correctional facility, then, from 1964 to 1982 as an Agricultural High School. After this period, a private company turned the estate into a pigs farm. According to locals, the pigs have chewed most of the walls, the floor has rotted and the fenestration was destroyed. A bodolai jószág 1476-ban került a Béldi-család tulajdonába, akik az államosításig a legjelentősebb birtokosok lettek a településen. Béldy (III.) Pál (1622-1679) bukása után adta az uradalom egy részét I. Apafi Mihály Mikes (I.) Kelemennek, a ma is látható Mikes-építkezések azonban a 19. század végén gr. Mikes (V.) Zsigmond megrendelésére készültek. A gróf első, uzoni gr. Béldi Zsófiával (1874-1930) kötött házassága által került Bodolára, valószínűleg ezután építtette kastélyát. A 19. század végén épült egyszerű kastély földszintes épület, főhomlokzatát három rizalit tagolja. A középrizalit az épület szimmetriatengelyén helyezkedik el, néhány lépcső vezet fel a háromtengelyes épületrész közepén található főbejárathoz. A sarokrizalitok kéttengelyesek, az egyenes záródású ablakpárokat félköríves vakolatdíszek keretelik. Mindhárom rizalitot háromszögű oromzat zárja le. Az egykori park felőli homlokzaton néhány omladozó kőlépcső visz fel az épület tengelyéből kiugró, fábol ácsolt teraszra. A fénykorában hangulatos kis terasz elemei korhadoznak, ablakai hiányoznak, ahogy az épület hátsó homlokzatán mindenhol. A kastély első és utolsó tulajdonosa Mikes (V.) Zsigmond volt, tőle államosították. A kommunizmusban előbb leány-javítóintézet, majd 1964-től mezőgazdasági líceum működött benne 1982-ig, amikoris egy magáncég disznófarmot hozott létre itt. A helybéliek elmondása szerint a disznók szétrágták a falak nagyobb részét, a padló elrohadt, a nyílászárók elpusztultak. A kastély azóta siralmas állapotban van, hiányoznak a cserepei, korhad benne a fa. Az épületet a Mikes-leszármazottak visszaigényelték. https://kastelyerdelyben.ro/

Castelul simplu construit la sfârșitul secolului al XIX-lea este o clădire cu un singur etaj, a cărei fațadă principală este accentuată de rezalit. Rezalitul central se află pe axa simetrică a clădirii. Intrarea principală, aflată în mijlocul clădirii cu trei volume alipite, este accesibilă prin niște scări. Rezalitele de colț sunt de două axe, iar perechile de ferestre cu închidere dreaptă sunt ornate cu ancadramente semicirculare. Toate cele trei rezalite se termină într-un fronton triunghiular. Niște scări de piatră, prăbușite, aflate pe fațada dinspre parcul de odinioară, fac accesul în terasa de lemn aflată pe clădire. Azi, elementele terasei s-au deteriorat, iar ferestrele clădirii lipsesc. Primul și ultimul proprietar al castelului a fost Mikes (V) Zsigmond, de la care clădirea a fost confiscată în timpul naționalizării. În timpul comunismului, în castel a funcționat mai întâi o instituție de corecție pentru fete, apoi din 1964 până în 1982, un liceu agricol, apoi o companie privată a înființat aici o fermă de porci. După spusele localnicilor, porcii au ros majoritatea pereților, podeaua s-a putrezit, ferestrele s-au distrus. De atunci, castelul se află într-o stare deplorabilă, nu are țigle și lemnele putrezesc.
