Dumbbells from the middle of the 15th century are the Apafi family. Their estate grows in 1552, when Apafi Gergely buys Bethlen, and on this newly created area begins to build a castle. In the old days, the side of the entrance was protected by a wall with bastions and a ditch with water. The other three sides were surrounded by the lake. After the death of the Apafi family, the castle became royal property, and Maria Theresa gave it to Groth Bethlen Gábor. He sold the estate to Armenian traders. They renovated the castle and moved here to the town hall, later arranged accommodation, but there was enough room for the army. Later that period was also imprisonment. The city's current leadership wants to capitalize on the huge building. Az erzsébetvárosi Apafi-kastély műemlék épület Romániában, Szeben megyében. A romániai műemlékek jegyzékében az SB-II-m-B-12384 sorszámon szerepel. Története A kastélyt 1552-ben építtette Apafi Gergely dobokai főispán, Martinuzzi György főudvarmestere. 1604-ben a medgyesi német őrség próbálta meg elfoglalni, de nem járt sikerrel. II. Apafi Mihály idején a városban letelepedett örmények 1726-ban megvásárolták a kastélyt. Utóbb az épületben törvényszék, járásbíróság, fogház, városháza kapott helyet. 2010 óta a kastély az erdélyi örmények múzeumi gyűjteményének kiállítóhelye.
