The Castle is situated outside the city centre, near the village of Segonzone, in the middle of countryside in upper Val di Non where apples are cultivated. The original nucleus of the castle, represented by the tall pentagonal keep of the central building, dates back to the 14th century. The complex has two fortified entrances, protected by walls, which open into a wide safeguarded area where the keep and other buildings can be found. The residential estates will be used as public exhibition, cultural and representative centres, while the farm buildings will act as the reception area. The main building has six floors above ground as well as a basement. The castle has been owned by the municipality of Campodenno since the year 2000 and has undergone three important restoration projects to reinforce, restore and adjust it, and work will soon begin on the residential buildings. Castel Belasi è un castello che si trova a 465 m s.l.m. in località Lover di Campodenno, a 567 m - 35 km da Trento sulla strada provinciale n° 67 del Lovernatico. Notevole complesso feudale circondato da un'alta cinta murata che sorge, isolato, su una verde collina lambita dal rio Belasi, poco sotto il paese di Segonzone e di fronte a Dercolo. Elementi caratteristici sono le due garrite pensili (bertesca) che servono il cammino di ronda e che proteggono i due ingressi principali, il rivellino, il piazzale e la corte interna, il mastio infine, pentagonale, robustissimo costruito da blocchi di granito. Una scala a chiocciola, che serve pure i piani dell'attigua residenza, sale alla stanza d'assedio; da qui si può raggiungere la sommità dove si gode un vasto panorama sulla valle di Non e su parte della valle dell'Adige e sui monti del Trentino orientale. Dalle finestre della torre si possono vedere anche i castelli Belfort e Sporo, castel Thun e castel Valer. Nel 2000 il comune di Campodenno ha acquistato il castello ponendo fine al suo degrado e ad anni di saccheggi. L'amministrazione comunale ha dato avvio al suo completo restauro.
