Sohail Castle (Spanish: Castillo Sohail) is a castle in Fuengirola, Spain. It was built in AD 956 by Abd-ar-Rahman III to strengthen the coastal defenses.[1] In 2000 the Town of Fuengirola renovated the ruins of the castle turning it into a tourist attraction and functioning space used for concerts and other festivals. Excavated stone ruins on public display at the western base of the hill on which the castle sits are dated back to before the Roman Republic occupied Fuengirola at least 300 BC.

Castillo de Colomares is a monument, in the form of a castle, dedicated to the life and adventures of Christopher Colombus. It was built near Benalmádena in Spain, between 1987 and 1994. Covering an area of 1,500 meters, it is the largest monument in the world to the explorer, but also contains the smallest church in the world.

Bil-Bil Castle is one of Benalmadena’s most iconic landmarks and one of the most popular attractions for visitors who choose to spend their holidays here.
Located on the promenade just a 10 minute walk from Sunset Beach Club, this Moorish-looking building isn’t really a castle. Although it looks like it was built centuries ago, nothing could be further from the truth.
As mentioned above, although Bil-Bil Castle looks like a medieval Moorish fortress, it was actually built in the first half of the 20th century as a private residence.
Most historical references to Bil-Bil Castle state that this private residence was built by Leon Hermann, a wealthy French or Belgian (we’re not too sure of this detail) businessman who gave the task of building the ‘castle’ to the architect, Enrique Atencia in 1927. However, the onset of the Spanish Civil War made the family give up the property which was then bought by the Schenstrom family.
William Schenstrom was an American businessman who arrived in Benalmadena with his wife, Elsie, and his son whose name was also William. He soon decided that the property needed more work: He redesigned and extended the original plans to make the castle what it is today. Apparently the builders who were working on the property called the owner by his nickname, Bill, and when his son used to come on site, they called him Bill too; that’s where the name came Bil-Bil came from! J It was at this time that the ‘castle’ became a famous local landmark  thanks to the luxurious decoration of its interiors and the privileged position facing the sea.

Bil Bil Castle

La muralla urbana de Marbella es una fortificación declarada Bien de Interés Cultural, situada en el municipio de Marbella, en la provincia de Málaga, Andalucía, España.
Se trata de los restos de un recinto murado del siglo XI, que junto al Castillo de Marbella, ocupaba una superficie de alrededor de 90.000m². La muralla contenía en su interior la antigua medina árabe, que hoy se corresponde con el casco antiguo de la ciudad.
El acceso al interior de la fortificación era posible a través de tres puertas; la Puerta de Ronda, la Puerta de Málaga y Puerta del Mar. Además, la muralla incorporaba más de una veintena de torres, con el fin de proteger la ciudad de posibles ataques de la costa.
Parte de la muralla ha sido restaurada.
