Skřivany Chateau

Originally a fortress which was reconstructed into a baroque chateau in the 17th century according to the project of architect Kilian Ignac Dientzenhofer. The building was in the ownership of the Benedictines until 1948, later it served as a storage place for healthcare material.

Podlesí Chateau 

Chateau from the 1st half of the 18th century. In 1901 it was reconstructed in pseudo-Baroque style by industrialist Gaston Malmann. The chateau is rectangualr in shape with a mansard roof. The main frontispiece is decorated by a dynamically modelled central buttress with a gable and arcade underpass.

Myštěves Chateau

A storeyed chateau with a polygonal tower, decorated with a garret and high gables with castellation and turrets. Originally it was a Renaissance fortress from the 2nd half of the 16th century, which was reconstructed into an early Baroque chateau in the 17th century. In 1789 it was torn down and later rebuilt according to the design of E. Hall in 1852.

Hlušice Chateau

The oldest building in the village is the Baroque castle built in 1737 by Kryštof Norbert Voračický from Paběnice. Statues of St Joseph, St Francis Xavier, St John Nepomuk and a brick belfry from 1777, situated in the cadastre territory of the village, belong to other historical monuments which can be seen in the village.

Barchov Chateau

Hrádek u Nechanic is a 19th-century Gothic style Romantic château near the town of Hrádek in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. In 2001 Hrádek u Nechanic was declared part of the National Cultural Heritage. The chateau is administered by the National Heritage Trust and the Ministry of Culture.
Hrádek u Nechanic was built between 1839 and 1857 as a representative and summer seat by Count František Arnošt of Harrach, one of the most important representatives of the Jilemnice dynasty. The young Austrian architect Karl Fischer led building operations and suggested decoration of the chateau's interior. The chateau was designed by the English architect Edward Buckton Lamb. It is referred to as “Little Hluboká” because it resembles to Hluboka Chateau in southern Bohemia. Most of the furniture was made by local artisans. The remainder of the interior was brought from Italy and Austria. Around the same time, L. Krüger converted part of the local forest into a park. In the left part of the park, a reserve and pheasantry were founded. In 1945, the chateau was confiscated because of the Beneš decrees.

Hrádek u Nechanic Chateau

The château was built for František Ferdinand Kinský in 1721–23. Construction was completed in time for King Charles VI's coronation. František Ferdinand Kinský invited the king to the château and named the castle after the king (Karlova Koruna means Charles' crown in English). Originally, there was a stronghold as nobleman seat in Chlumec nad Cidlinou town, and the first mention in a source-books is from 1424 when the stronghold was conquered by the warrior Boček of Poděbrady. In the beginning of the 16th century a new renaissance fortification was built. The Kinský family obtained this property in the beginning of the 17th century and kept it till 1948. It was returned to the family after 1990. The High Chancellor of Bohemian Kingdom count František Ferdinand Kinský (1668 – 1741) decided to convert the building into a folly corresponding to the reputation of his noble family. Some of the best architects and master builders of that times – Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel and František Maxmilián Kaňka – were engaged to create this work of art. As a dedication, this new pleasure house was named after emperor Karel VI. who visited Chlumec in September 1723 while returning from his coronation in Prague. In the middle of the 17th century the Kinský family began to use this folly more often. That is why the property was enlarged – detached administrative and accommodation wings were newly built. The hyppodrome, where the Chlumec peasants of well-known uprising were imprisoned in 1775, also grew up in this time.

Karlova Koruna Chateau

Two-storey building with mansard roof and tower. On the southern facade of the small bay, originally a chapel and two cylindrical corner towers. On the ground floor of a glazed arcade of the courtyard. A two-armed staircase leads to a large park from the main building of the chateau.

Holovousy Chateau

The first documentation available regarding the Dobřenice manor dates back to 1339 and it was the knight Zdeněk Bohunek from Dobřenice, who ordered its first construction. Since that period until 1862 the chateau and the courtyard belonged to the Czech dynasty Dobrzensky from Dobřenice. Subsequently, in 1862, the property was sold to Baron Karl Daniel Weinrich, who rebuilt the chateau into a new pseudo-classic one-storey building after a fire had partially destroyed it. In 1875 a beautiful 25 hectares English Park was designed by famous architect Edward Petzold and this whole area has been well maintained over the last decades.
In 1928 the entire estate was purchased by the director of Škoda company in Plzeň, Karel Loevenstein, who immediately initiated an extensive renovation of the chateau. He expanded the chateau by adding rooms on the upper floor, installed central heating, rebuilt and refurnished the interiors and constructed a new main entrance of the courtyard embellished with two large statues of lions. In addition to Dobřenice he also purchased a nearby estate in Kratonohy, resulting in ownership of 750 hectares of agricultural and forestland with both properties.
In 1934 a poultry farm, a sawmill and large greenhouses were put into operation.
In 1937 a burial chamber was built on the church grounds, and in 1938, after Karel Loevenstein´s passing, he was laid here to rest.
Two years later a german receivership of the whole manor was declared. In 1945 the whole property was returned to the Loevenstein family, but their ownership didn´t last long and in 1948 the property was under the ruling of the communist regime nationalized and turned into a state farm for over 40 years.
In consequence of the Velvet Revolution in 1989, the property was finally in 1993 restituted to its rightful owner – Karla Loevenstein (due to mariage renamed Karla Katschnerová), daughter of Karel Loevenstein. She had immigrated to Brazil with her husband Milan Katschner in 1948, and returned to the Czech Republic in 1993 at the age of 70. With her entrepreneurial spirit she immediately took charge of the property and started to rebuild many of the buildings and roofs in order to avoid further damages. As a passionate horse rider all her life, she transformed cow houses into horse stables and brought the equestrian life back to Dobřenice by renovating original indoor arena and creating a riding school. Since 1997 her son, Rodrigo Katschner and his family have joined forces to continue the reconstruction of the whole estate.

Dobřenice Chateau

The chateau in Jičíněves was built by František Josef Šlik near a former fortress.
The ground plan of the original Baroque three-storey chateau was square shaped. Later, the chapel dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua and the chapel of the Holy Cross were added. The special layout is completed with a large central block and farm buildings that close the courtyard. There is a well-preserved Empire pavilion (19th century) in the adjacent English-style park.
