Fonmon is one of few mediaeval castles still lived in as a home. Since it was built by the St. John family c1200, it has only changed hands once – quite an impressive feat! • Castle open to the Public for guided tours April to September on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. • Opening times for individuals, families and groups of less than twelve on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between midday and 5pm, no need to book. • Public guided tours at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm priced at £6. • Access to garden and grounds is free, last entrance to garden at 4pm. • Assistance dogs only allowed Visitors are welcomed by an experienced guide and the 45 minute tour walks through the fascinating history of the Castle, its families, architecture and interiors. The Fonmon gardens are an attraction in their own right for enthusiasts and amateurs alike and visitors are free to wander and explore.
