Lloyd Palace was built between 1910-1912 after Leopold Baumhorn's plans and now hosts the headquarters of the Politehnica University Timisoara. The Lloyd Palace is located in Victory Square, after 1948 becoming the headquarters of the Rectorate of the Politehnica University of Timisoara. The building was inaugurated on September 29, 1912, and was realized during 1910-1912 following the plans of the architect Leopold Baumhorn in a Seccesion style. At the ground floor of the building there was a café called Café Lloyd and a restaurant, meeting place of Timisoara’s elites and bohemians, Lloyd Restaurant still existing today. On the first floor of the building was the headquarters of the Agricultural Stock Exchange and the Lloyd Society, and on the second and third floors were private apartments. The Lloyd Palace was the property of the Timișoara Chamber of Commerce during the interwar period. The interior elements - mirrors, stained glass windows, chandeliers of monumental dimensions - belong to a language of luxury in space decorations. A fost construit între 1910 – 1912 după planurile arhitectului Leopold Baumhorn, iar in prezent adăpostește sediul Rectoratului Universității Politehnica din Timișoara. Palatul Lloyd este situat în Piaţa Victoriei, după anul 1948 devenind sediul Rectoratului Universității Politehnica Timișoara. Edificiul a fost inaugurat în data de 29 septembrie 1912, fiind realizat în perioada 1910 şi 1912 după planurile arhitectului Leopold Baumhorn în stil Seccesion. La parterul clădirii a existat o cafenea numită Café Lloyd şi un restaurant, loc de întâlnire a elitelor și a boemei timișorene, restaurantul Lloyd existând până în zilele noastre. La primul etaj al clădirii a fost sediul Bursei Agricole şi al Societății Lloyd, iar la etajele al doilea şi al treilea se găseau apartamente private. Palatul Lloyd a fost în proprietatea Camerei de Comerţ Timişoara în perioada interbelică. Elementele de interior – oglinzi, vitralii, candelabre de dimensiuni monumentale – aparțin unui limbaj al luxului în decorarea spațiilor. A Lloyd palota a temesvári korzó egy három emeletes monumentális épülete. Eklektikus stílusban épült szecessziós behatásokkal 1910 és 1912 között Leopold Baumhorn tervei alapján. Az első emeleté működött hajdanán a Mezőgazdasági tőzsde, a Lloyd társaság, a II. és III. emeletén pedig lakások voltak. A földszinten működött a Café Lloyd, a háború előtti Café Wien, az akkori elit találkozóhelye. 1948-tól az emeleten a Politechnikai egyetem rektorátusa működik, a földszinten pedig a Lloyd étterem.
