The construction of the castle in Gosławice began at the request of the Poznań bishop Andrzej Łaskarz around 1418. It was built on a square plan. The castle had a cylindrical turret, originally it was built on a lakeside . Today, the castle consists of two parallel-ranking buildings surrounded by a brick wall. It is known today that the original buildings of the castle were destroyed during the Swedish invasion in the mid-seventeenth century. And then rebuilt in a new form in the subsequent centuries. Castle above Gasłowicki Lake began to devastate again in the XIX century. Then the bulding performed more and more economic functions. In 1838 the part of the building was established as a brewery. However reconstructed significantly in the late 70s-80s of XX century the white buildings, located today in the castle museum, does not appear at first glance as very old, but passing through the gates of the manor allows you to feel the moment like of presence in other era. In the surrounding museum stones and bricks were preserved, they remind the turbulent history of the fortress in the times of the former Republic. The interiors of the District Museum in Konin include Polish exhibition of paintings, old photographs, oil lamps and jewelry. There are also numismatic and archaeological finds from the eastern Wielkopolska. Also the old Jewish tombstones and cannonballs exhibited to visitors in the castle.
