Le château de l'Éclair est situé dans le Beaujolais, au nord de la commune de Liergues, dans le département du Rhône. Le nom d'Éclair est associé à celui de l'Éclair-Vermorel, nom donné par son inventeur en 1884 au bidon à sulfater les vignes. Une autre histoire est liée au nom du château. La fille de M. Vermorel aurait été foudroyée un jour d'orage dans le parc.
Description
Le château, qui date de la fin du xixe siècle, est une construction de style néo-gothique.
Le domaine est une propriété privée et ne se visite pas.
Historique
1871 : Le propriétaire, M. Guinon, chimiste lyonnais, achève la construction. Son frère avait de son côté acquis le Château de Boisfranc, château voisin. La famille Guinon était spécialisée dans la coloration des soies lyonnaises (procédé à base d'acide picrite). À cette époque il se nommait Château du Convert, nom du hameau et regroupait déjà quelques hectares de vignes.
1891 : Victor Vermorel (1848 - 1927), inventeur, acquiert après la grande crise phylloxérique la propriété et poursuit ses recherches sur la vigne et le vin. Il effectue d'important travaux dans le cuvage et dans les vignes.
1932 : La caisse primaire de capitalisation de la mutualité sociale de retraite-invalidité, après s'être portée acquéreur du bien, en délègue la gestion à l'Union générale de la mutualité du Rhône.
1934 : Une maison de convalescence et une colonie sanitaire sont créées.
1979 : Le centre de perfectionnement technique hôtelier fondé par le japonais Shizuo Tsuji s'installe à l'Éclair.
1993 : Yoshiki Tsuji succède à son père; le château abrite aussi un organisme de recherche appliquée dans le domaine de la viticulture commercialisant les vins du domaine : la SICAREX Beaujolais. Le domaine s'étend aujourd'hui sur 19 ha, produisant une palette de 9 vins différents : Beaujolais, Beaujolais Nouveau, Beaujolais rosé, Beaujolais blanc, Beaujolais Villages, Chénas, Crémant de Bourgogne, Rouge pétillant et Gamaret. Ce domaine est souvent reconnu pour la qualité de ses vins.

Château de Éclair

The Château du Sou, situated at the bottom of the Morgon valley, is a converted castle in the commune of Lacenas, west of Villefranche-sur-Saône, in the Rhône département of France.
It is privately owned. It is available for receptions, weddings, themed events etc.
History
It was probably Jean de Thélis-L'Espinasse who built the castle. He became Governor and Lieutenant-General of Beaujolais in 1369. He married Artaude de Charnay; their son Jean married Agnès Vert, dame de Valprivas, but died without issue and the succession passed to their nephew, Jocerand. He was a squire of the Lord of Beaujel to whom he gave homage for Sou in 1475, as did his nephew and successor Antoine in 1506. Antoine married his cousin Jeanne de Saint-Romain, dame de Valorges; their son Louis married Jacqueline de Salemard.
In 1539, Louis de Thélis sold the castle to Claude de Gaspard. In the 16th century, one of the descendants, Jean, Lieutenant-General of the Bailiwick of Beaujolais, married Claudine de Tenay. Claude, lord of Sou, married Marguerite de la Porte in 1577; he was a counsellor to the King and General Receiver of Taxes in the Généralité of Lyon. In the 17th century, Marc, lord of Sou, married Sibylle de Saint-Amour around 1690 and gave the castle to his brother Joseph Marie, a superior priest at the seminary of Orléans in 1766; the latter gave the property to his cousin Mignot de Bussy in 1767.
His son, Aimé Antoine, Count of Sou, emigrated during the French Revolution and the château was sold as a national property. It is now owned by several proprietors who share the estate.
Architecture
Construction work, in the golden stone of the region, dates from approximately 1369. The fortified enceinte, dotted with towers, forms an almost perfect square. There remain some traces of moats and the drawbridge. The keep has three upper storeys as well as the ground floor.
A Gothic chapel contains sculptures, including two angel heads.
On the northern side, the fortified gateway is decorated with 13 blazons or coats of arms: at the top is the blazon of the Gaspards, to the left are six more of the same and, to the right, six other blazons relating to their wives. During the Revolution, these blazons were damaged by hammer blows. The fortified gateway was listed on 21 February 1933 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture.
Park and gardens
A park, including a medieval garden, surrounds the château. The public lavoir situated at the entrance to the lane leading to the château is fed by the fountain.

Château du Sou

Château de Jarnioux is a former castle, founded in the late thirteenth century or early fourteenth century, overhauled from the fifteenth to seventeenth century, which stands on the town of Jarnioux in the Rhône department in Auvergne region-Rhône -Alps. The castle is the subject of a partial registration as a historic monument by decree of 16 May 1966. Only all the facades and roofs are enrolled.The castle looks like a pentagonal enclosure that order, standing on the side of the attack, a large cylindrical tower. Other angles are provided with round towers. Before this set, Barbican square, framed by two flankers circular, closed by a gate tower commanding a drawbridge. The chapel built over the main entrance gave him his symbolic protection. The castle consists of buildings of different styles, witnesses alterations made over the centuries. The original construction, golden stone Beaujolais, the date of the thirteenth century. Six towers, the tower that reaches 30 meters in height, were added later. A wing Renaissance is attributed to Philibert Delorme. The monumental entrance included a drawbridge, now replaced by a masonry bridge but there remain visible traces. Above the door, one discovers the arms of the Henry family.

Château de Jarnioux

The history of the Château de Bagnols, which is today classified "Historic Monument", spans several centuries. This fortification, which has witnessed eight centuries of history, has been enriched after each change of owner, finally becoming the country residence that it is today.
THE LORDS OF OINGT
The Château de Bagnols was built on the lands of the Lords of Oingt in the heart of the Beaujolais vineyards and the Monts du Lyonnais. In 1217, Guichard d’Oingt, a powerful lord in the Beaujolais region, undertook the construction of a vast Château which, in size, is the equal of the largest buildings of the Aristocracy and the Clergy. It is during this era that work was started on building the Château, its fortifications and its moat. it was designed to look out over the valley, and from its towers, watch could be kept over the whole of the surrounding region. This key date lent its name to the Château de Bagnols' current gourmet restaurant, The 1217.
THE ALBON LORDS
Eléonore, the granddaughter of Guichard d’Oingt, married Guillaume d’Albon in 1288 and this illustrious family took over the fiefdoms of Bagnols which it then controlled for 6 generations.
Towards the middle of the XIVth century, the region fell victim to numerous disasters - floods, climate disorders, epidemics, followed by their lots of misery and famine. In 1337, war broke out, marauding bands of looters criss-crossed the region, spreading disorder and terror. Churches were abandoned and villages deserted.
THE BALZAC LORDS
In 1453, the marriage of Jeanne d’Albon and Rauffec de Balsac places the Château under this family's coat of arms. This is when the North tower was built incorporating embrasures to strengthen the Château's defences.
Geoffroy de Balzac, son of Rauffec, was raised at court, he was first a page before becoming advisor to King Charles VIII, whom he received in his Château de Bagnols in October 1490 when the King was just 20. To commemorate his visit, a crown was cut in the stone on the fireplace of the Salle des Gardes. This visit was a supreme honour that marked a page in the history of the Château. Geoffrey de Balzac later married Claude Leviste, who is thought to be the lady from the famous "Lady and the Unicorn" tapestries.
THE CHABANNES LORDS
Claude then married a relative, Jean de Chabannes, who took possession of her estate. The Bagnols lands were subsequently sold in 1566 to Jehan Camus and his sons.
THE CAMUS LORDS
This family occupied Bagnols for 3 generations until 1619, date on which the domain was sold to Gaspard Dugué.
THE DUGUÉ LORDS
In the XVIIth century the Château became the favourite residence of the Dugué family that created numerous decorations in Bagnols. The Dugués were connected by marriage to the marquise de Sévigné, who mentioned her visits to the Château in her voluminous correspondence.
Gaspard Dugué carried out major repair work. He employed a master of water to bring water to the Château from the pond in the lower courtyard to the cast iron taps in the kitchen. Gaspard was the first owner of Bagnols to make it his main residence. He invested large amounts of money to glorify it by reinforcing its defensive character, symbol of its power and its nobility.
THE HESSELER LORDS
In 1711, Barthélémy Joseph Hesseler purchased "the Seigneury and Barony of Bagnols". He maintained it carefully and embellished it, to do this he hired François Aricor. This period saw the end of certain defensive elements (machicolation, bartizan, drawbridge counterpoise…).
THE CROPPET DE VARISSAN LORDS
Barthélémy's daughter, Marie-Anne, married Jean-Baptiste Croppet de Varissan who owned Bagnols from 1751 to 1782. At the time of his death the Domaine de Bagnols was estimated to be worth 600,000 pounds, including 19,000 for the furniture and ornaments.
THE SAINT TRY LORDS
Claudine Barthélémy inherited the Château on the death of her father. She married a friend of the family, owner of the Château de Saint-Try and numerous other domains. In 1796, the Domaine de Bagnols was broken up to be sold.
THE CHAVANIS LORDS
Claude Chavanis bought the Château for 160,000 pounds. Bagnols then underwent further developments over the second half of the XVIIIth century.
The French Revolution did not cause too much damage to Bagnols. Only the large towers, symbols of the power of the seigneurs, were said to have been destroyed during this period, along with a number of crests. Because it was used as a revolutionary council hall, and because the judge lived there, the Château was saved from destruction. In fact, the Salle des Gardes served as a meeting place for revolutionaries.
At the death of Claude Chavanis, her son Auguste inherited the Château. He considered his land of Bagnols to be a wine-growing holding, he bought vineyards and built the vast vat room.
THE JOUFFRAY LORDS
Françoise Anne Julie Chavanis inherited the Château from her father. She was married at the time to Jean Antoine Morand de Jouffray, descendant of the famous architect Jean Antoine Morand, creator of the Brotteaux district in Lyon and who was hanged during the Revolution. Their daughter Amélie Morand de Jouffray inherited Bagnols in 1881.
THE CHEVALARD LORDS
Jules Lucien Souchon du Chevalard, Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur and Prefect of the Ardèche married Amélie Morand and became the owner of Bagnols. In 1899, their daughter Antoinette gave the Château as dowry to Count Joseph Boutechoux de Chavanes.
THE CHAVANNES LORDS
They had three children, one of whom was Marie Antoinette, the owner of the Château until 1980. In 1940, during the Second World War, the treasures of the Saint-Jean Cathedral were transferred to the Château in order to protect them from the bombings. The Salle des Tonneaux thus served as place of protection to save the heritage of the town of Lyon.
The Château was abandoned and slowly decayed, its owner only occupying the apartments on the ground floor, in the West wing during the summer months. The condition of the main building was critical, the roof collapsed in a number of places, the walls developed cracks. One by one the roofs fell in - those of the outhouses first, followed by those of the vat room which, already weakened by infiltrations of rainwater, collapsed due to the "supersonic boom" caused by an airplane in 1970.

Château de Montmelas is an ancient castle, rebuilt in the thirteenth or fourteenth century and restored in a neo-gothic aesthetic of the nineteenth century, which stands on the town of Montmelas-Saint-Sorlin in the Rhône region Auvergne- Rhône-Alpes.The castle is the subject of a registration as historical monuments by order of 29 June 2000.There is mention of a castle from 977. In the eleventh century the fortress belongs to the lords of Beaujeu. In 1331, the owner is Jeanne Chateauvillain, third wife of Guichard VI of Beaujeu. In 1520, the fief belonged to Anne of France, Duchess of Bourbon, daughter of Louis XI and widow of Pierre de Bourbon, sire de Beaujeu. Their daughter, Suzanne of Bourbon, wife of the Constable Bourbon. The bourbons sell the lordship Philibert Crozet. His widow sold it to Philibert Albon fief Beaujeu baron of Lignières. The property falls thereafter to Aloysius Gonzaga, Duke of Nevers, husband of Henriette of Cleves. Jean Arod, husband of Barbe Signolles, bought the castle in 1566 during an auction. In 1593, Jean Arod is killed while repels an attack against his castle. In 1654, William Arod is lord of Montmelas. Arod François (1716-1752), Marquis de Montmelas, wife Marguerite Cuzieu. In 1766, their eldest son, Blaise, Marquis de Montmelas, wife Marguerite Catherine Haynault, mistress of Louis XV. She will remain in Montmelas until his death in 1837.During the Revolution, Gaspard de Montmelas, the younger brother of Blaise, is imprisoned in Lyon; a delegation of villagers take the road to the issue. At his death, in 1837, Agnes Louise widow of Gaspard Arod Count Montmelas and natural daughter of Louis XV recognized and Catherine Haynault, leaving the field to his great-granddaughter, Helen Louise Léonie Tournon Simiane (1829 -1899) wife of Count Philippe Tournon-Simiane. In 1906, Helen Louise Françoise Tournon-Simiane, previous daughter, wife Victurnien Jean Jacques de Chabannes La Palice. In 1962, Jacqueline Marie Leonie de Chabannes La Palice (1896-1982), previous daughter, wife of Count Jehan Durat inherits. The castle passed to his eldest daughter, Françoise de Durat wife of Count Henry of Harcourt. The area now belongs to the family of Harcourt.Built in the twelfth century, the castle was substantially amended over the centuries and especially in the nineteenth century, after 1828 by Louis Dupasquier, Lyon contemporary architect Viollet-le-Duc, after a drawing of the seventeenth century. It retains many elements of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries and the work aimed to restore a complete medieval fortress. The outer enclosure is crenelated. There remains of the medieval castle a cylindrical tower that dominates a square enclosure provided at the corners of pepper and a wide yard fenced with breeches. The property is a winery. Castle Montmelas is private property. It is open to visitors. The buildings and gardens have been registered under the historic monument on 29 June 2000. This includes castrale pregnant, castle, common, towers, porches, the chapel and the course, the poultry castle courtyard, the winery and the pantheon.

Château de Montmelas

A little history to explain the architecture...
The site of Fléchères has been of great strategical significance for millenia. It controlled the approach to the Saône, where the ford at Grelonges afforded a relatively easy crossing. Beyond, one reached the Beaujolais hills and the way towards the west of France.
A Roman camp undoubtedly preceded the fortified castle of which the existence is attested from the 12th century.
In 1606, the lordship of Fléchères was bought from some protestant nobles, who had left to settle in Geneva, by Jean Sève, himself a Calvinist.
After having escaped the Saint Bartholomew's Day massacre of 1572 in Lyon, and after two periods of exile in Geneva, he played an important rôle in the uprising which lead to Lyon coming back under the authority of Henry IV (1594).
As a Treasurer of France, he was one of the richest and most influential men in Lyon at the beginning of the 17th century.
As Regent of the Hospital of La Charité, created for the poor, he had built an entire wing at his own expense.
After becoming Alderman and then Provost of Merchants (1612-13), he was ennobled, thanks to these positions.
The building of a château was seen as an obligatory step for establishing this nobility "de cloche" (an allusion to the clocks of the municipal belfries).
Meanwhile, the size of the building, unusual for the Lyonnais, and above all the preservation of its medieval appearance, (moat, ramparts, corner towers, fortified entrance, drawbridge) must above all have helped to give credibility to the family legend which made the de Sèves direct descendants of a celebrated feudal family of Piedmont, known from the 13th century, the Marquises of Seva.
The design of the main building, with its grand central portion on three floors flanked by smaller wings, is surprising. 
It is explained by the presence of a Calvinist temple of 250 m2 on the third floor of the central building, lit by seven windows on each façade.
After the Edict of Nantes (1595), the number of temples were strictly limited but nobles could own a "stronghold temple" in one of their lordships (around 4000 in France).
Since no external sign of function was allowed, the three dormer windows to the south and north are of an unusual size in order to symbolise the Holy Trinity.
Leaving to God the place of honour, the private apartments are consigned to the smaller wings and the towers.

Château de Fléchères

Le château de Janzé est un ancien château fort, du xiie siècle, remanié au xviiie siècle, qui se dresse sur la commune de Marcilly-d'Azergues dans le département du Rhône en région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
Situation
Le château de Janzé est situé dans le département français du Rhône, au nord ouest de Lyon, sur la commune de Marcilly-d'Azergues, sur le versant nord-ouest d'un vallon dominant la vallée de l'Azergues.
Étymologie
Janzé est une déformation de Guizeu, nom d'une famille propriétaire, orthographié successivement Guiziaco, Ginziaco et Genziaco dans le cartulaire d'Ainay.
Histoire
Du xiie au xvie siècle, différentes familles ont possédé Janzé.
Au xiie siècle, le fief appartient à Ulric Anseu. Au xiiie siècle, Pierre Anseu vend la seigneurie à Albert de Guizeu, moine de l'abbaye d'Ainay. Le neveu d'Albert, Étienne de Guizeu, hérite du bien. Son fils, Albert de Guizeu, teste en 1340.
En 1450, dame Alisette Verd, veuve de Poilfort de Guizeu, teste en faveur du chevalier Amé Verd, son frère.
Philippe de Saint-Trivier teste en 1536.
Aux xviie et xviiie siècles, plusieurs personnages se succèdent à Janzé : en 1616 (acte de vente), René Chausse, docteur en droit ; en 1658 (acte de vente), Barthélémy d'Honoraty, qui fait reconstruire le château ; en 1698 (acte de vente), Claude Carret, bourgeois de Lyon ; en 1719 (acte de vente), Camille Gemeau, premier secrétaire du maréchal de Villeroy ; Pierre Cizeron, bourgeois de Lyon ; en 1729, par mariage, Jean Clerico ; par héritage, Pierre Gabriel Clerico, qui agrandit la propriété ; François Boulard de Gatellier, conseiller au Parlement de Bourgogne, dont la famille possède encore le domaine.
Description
Le château actuel, dont il subsiste des parties du xiie et xve siècles, et les communs datent du xviie siècle. Au début du xviiie siècle, des remaniements ont été effectués et la propriété a été agrandie, incluant successivement les domaines Pitrat (1774), Bouvet (1776) et Bottières (1780).
La construction se compose d'un corps de logis de plan rectangulaire, comprenant deux étages de cinq travées, et un étage de combles avec un toit brisé couvert de tuiles et d'ardoise. La façade principale au nord ouest, est flanquée de deux tours rondes, coiffées de toits pointus en ardoise, et est agrémentée de deux jambages délimitant le corps central couronné par un fronton.
Les communs qui prolongent les tours à l'est et à l'ouest, délimitent trois cours, dans l'une desquelles se trouve une chapelle construite au xviiie siècle. Le parc s'étend sur 10 hectares.

Château de Janzé

Le château de la Flachère est situé sur la commune de Saint-Vérand, dans le Rhône, sur une colline se dressant au confluent de l'Azergues et du Soanan.
Description
Le château actuel a été reconstruit entre 1863 et 1867. Les plans en furent dressés par l'architecte Eugène Viollet-le-Duc et l'ensemble fut terminé en 1875. L'édifice est en brique et en pierre et les toitures sont en ardoise. Il est doté d'un escalier d'honneur et de pièces richement décorées, notamment le grand salon, la salle à manger, la salle de billard, le salon de musique, la grande et la petite bibliothèque, l'ancienne cuisine en sous-sol avec sa cheminée.
Il comporte également de nombreuses et vastes dépendances : fermes, régie, écuries. Le parc fut conçu par Varey qui, à la demande du marquis de Chaponay, fit planter des essences rares.
Plusieurs éléments ont été classés au titre des monuments historiques, le château et à l'intérieur le grand escalier d'honneur avec sa rampe en pierre et sa cage, l'escalier de dégagement de la tourelle de façade, le grand salon, la salle à manger, la salle de billard, le salon de musique, la grande et la petite bibliothèque ainsi que l'ancienne cuisine en sous-sol avec sa cheminée. Pour leur part, les communs, le pavillon de la régie et les écuries avec leurs stalles et leurs râteliers ont été inscrits.
Historique
La Flachère était au xiiie siècle, le siège d'une chevalerie de Malte.

En 1979 le duc se sépare du domaine qui est divisé en plusieurs propriétés.

Château de la Flachère

Descended from a long line of nobility dating back several centuries, the current owner Marquise de Roussy de Sales has completely transformed the fortunes and reputation of this majestic Château. It remains Beaujolais’ most beautiful estate; with a fairytale like appearance and magical gardens, it is little wonder that the French Ministry of Culture awarded Château de la Chaize the status of “Monuments Historiques,” in 1972. It also boasts the region’s longest vaulted cellar, which with its original framework and Roman-tiled roof is a monument in itself. But today, the property is renowned for both its beauty and the quality of its wines, which show a unique minerality and gorgeous sour cherry and black fruit character.
Château de la Chaize has a long and distinguished history which dates back to the 17th century. The original estate was founded by French army captain, François de La Chaize d’Aix, who purchased the property from an aristocratic family in 1667. Sadly, a few years after acquiring the Château it collapsed, killing his two sons and leaving François without any heirs. Nonetheless, the captain did commission a new Château, which was constructed in 1674 and is the building we know as Château de la Chaize today. However, the magnificent cellar and winery weren’t built until the late 18th century, finally completed in 1810. After the death of Francois, de la Chaize passed to the Count de Montaigu, who was an ambassador of King Louis XV in Venice. Such a fortuitous relationship helped to spread to renown of Beaujolais and the wines of Château de la Chaize, which were held in great esteem throughout Europe. Eventually the estate came under the control of the Marquise de Roussy de Sales, who has remained the sole owner since 1967.
The Marquise inherited a grand yet dilapidated Château, and therefore soon initiated a major program of restoration for the buildings and gardens. Much effort – and money – was also put into improving viticulture and the quality of the estate’s vineyards. But the investment has clearly paid off; today, winemakers Antoine Lohier and Franck Manigand consistently produce benchmark Brouilly from over 90 ha of superior vineyards. The regular bottling is always reliably excellent, offering breadth and depth combined with early drinkability. The Vieilles Vignes offers more complexity, refinement and density, but it is the special cuvee, the Reserve de La Marquise, that we really love. Made from old vines planted in an exceptional terroir, the wine is remarkable: fleshy, structured with a fine minerality and depth of flavor. Top vintages will last for over a decade, indeed, there is never any rush to drink the wines of Château de la Chaize.

Château de la Chaize

Le château de Lacroix-Laval est un château, du xvie siècle, qui se dresse sur la commune de Marcy-l'étoile dans la métropole de Lyon en région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Il a remplacé un ancien château fort du xiie siècle.

Le château de Lacroix-Laval, avec son parc est situé dans la métropole de Lyon sur les communes de Marcy-l'Étoile, Charbonnières-les-Bains et la Tour-de-Salvagny. Il domine le vallon de Charbonnières.
Histoire
Un premier château est construit au xiie siècle. Au xvie siècle, on en élève un nouveau sur les ruines du précédent.
Au début du xviiie siècle, Jean Boussin, dit « de la Croix », seigneur de Laval et trésorier de France, acquiert le domaine qui par la suite prendra le nom de « Lacroix-Laval ».
En 1739, des remaniements importants sont confiés à l'architecte Soufflot. Ces travaux s'achèvent en 1776, soit au bout de près d'un demi-siècle.
À la Révolution, les bâtiments sont saccagés.
En 1919, à la mort du comte Joseph-Léon de Lacroix-Laval, son fils, Ferdinand-Antoine (1858-1942), saint-cyrien (1877-1879 : promotion de Novi-Bazar), capitaine commandant au 12e cuirassiers, officier de la Légion d'honneur (1916), fait réaliser des transformations importantes par l'architecte Duchemin ; les travaux seront achevés six ans plus tard. D'autres travaux d'agrandissement et de restauration, lancés par le dernier comte de Lacroix-Laval, sont interrompus en 1942.
Le Conseil général du Rhône acquiert le domaine et fait restaurer différents éléments entre 1989 et 1990 par les architectes lyonnais Pierre Vurpas et Claude Vigan. Une collection de poupées constituée par une Lyonnaise, Denise Sambat, est exposée dans le château dont une partie est transformée en musée de la Poupée ; le parc, quant à lui, est aménagé pour accueillir le public. L'inauguration du nouvel ensemble a lieu le 19 septembre 1990. En 2007, le musée de la Poupée ferme ses portes ; le château abrite désormais des salons de réception.
Description
Le château actuel, reconstruit au xvie siècle est le résultat de nombreux remaniements, notamment aux xviiie et xxe siècles.
La construction principale est constituée d'un corps de logis rectangulaire et de deux pavillons, l'ensemble formant un « H ». Chacun des deux étages est, partiellement ou complètement, ceinturé à sa base par un bandeau de pierre ; l'étage de comble est éclairé par des lucarnes. Les angles des bâtiments sont soulignés par des chaînes en bossage en table. Les pavillons sont coiffés de toits en coupole. Au centre des façades sud et nord, des avant-corps d'une travée possèdent un balcon.
La façade sud comprend un étage surélevé et un second étage ; l'avant-corps, en légère saillie, est couronné d'un fronton triangulaire orné d'armoiries ; les pavillons sont en légère avancée ; l'ensemble est précédé d'une terrasse à laquelle on accède par un seul escalier, l'autre, symétrique du premier, ayant été remplacé par un ascenseur pour handicapés. Côté nord, l'ensemble comprend un rez-de-chaussée et deux étages ; l'avant-corps, en légère saillie, est couronné d'un fronton cintré ; les pavillons comportent trois travées.
Des constructions annexes ont été édifiées à l'ouest du château, et notamment une étable, une écurie, une haute tour ronde, une échauguette.
Les paysagistes Duchêne et Linossier ont réalisé, entre 1922 et 1924, le jardin à la française, côté sud, et le jardin d'utilité composé de trois espaces : le « fleuriste », qui comprend une serre et des massifs de plein-air, et qui est dédié aux plantes ornementales destinées à fleurir les salons ; le « potager » pour les légumes ; enfin le « buissonnier » consacré aux arbres fruitiers.
