Vyshnevetsky palace complex Vyshnevetsky palace complex - an architectural monument of XVI-XVIII centuries. Located on a steep bank of the river Gorin. Area of residence is eleven and a half acres. It consists of Vishnevetskih Palace, Ascension church and palace park. This is one of the finest palaces in Ukraine. This is perhaps the only palace built in the French Renaissance style, which has retained its architectural integrity and compositional perfection. He is often referred to as the Volyn Versailles.
The complex is located on the site of an ancient castle, which was built in 1395 the place was well chosen - a castle located on a steep hill, where the south and west it is detected inaccessible. The stone castle was reconstructed several times, and the final plan and its defense system developed in 1640, the castle served as a valuable protection nest Vishnevetskih from Tatar raids. In April 1542 the Tatar raid 25000th hordes led by Khan-Giray Meglena ended in failure - the Tatars were defeated at the village near the Lopushnya Vyshnivets. Vyshnevetsky castle was enlarged and rebuilt by the new rules fortification. Now it was square in plan earthen castle with four bastions at the corners, protected on three sides by ditches. From the middle of XVII century to the beginning of XVIII century the castle was repeatedly passed into the hands of the Cossacks, Tartars, Turks and Swedes. In 1705 after the great destruction process of fortification was rebuilt. The last of the kind Vyshnevetskys first tycoon of the Commonwealth - Michael Servats - rebuilt the ruined ancestral castle into a palace.
In 2005, the complex has received the status of a monument of national importance.
