Tokivskyy castle was built in the late sixteenth century governor of Bratslav Janusz Zbarazhsky. Located on top of the stone hill on the island (now a peninsula), surrounded by a wide pond formed on the old riverbed Zbruch.

 

The walls of the castle - irregular triangle with three towers at the corners; one - a five-pointed, two - half-round. Each tower was at the bottom two rows of loopholes, the upper part of the occupied dungeons. Access to the castle was through a drawbridge, which was guarded by another - nadvoritna Tower.

 

In 1648 the castle Tokivskyy captured Cossacks and 1675 - destroyed the Turks at that time had a castle family Vishnevetskih. Later, the castle was rebuilt. With the loss of defensive value (late eighteenth century). 2 towers and a significant portion of the walls gradually dismantled for household needs. Today, the ruins of a pentagonal tower and part of the fortress wall, the rest of the castle was taken to the local building materials.
