The castle is situated in the northern part of the village Satan on the bank of the river Zbruch. Built in the XV century. on the site of earlier fortifications XIV. At the end of the XVI century. was expanded, the plan he pentagonal not quite correct form: three sides of length more or less to 105 meters. fourth side 85 meters and 65 meters in five southern entire area of the castle is approximately 1.5 Hekta. In all corners of the pentagon was the tower and between towers usually have the walls.
Walls connecting the towers were twofold: in addition to the external are internal, which were parallel to the outside; Inside the walls were on the shaft and therefore were higher than outside. Gear, which contained internal, separated from the outer moat. Rowe was also on the outside of the walls. The internal walls are not preserved; only here and there on the ramparts, traces them.
