The castle erected on a gentle slope above the river Strypa, near the town of Buchach about 1600 Jan Buchatskiy. In 1676 fortifications captured and destroyed by the Turks. Since the beginning of XVIII here. castle belonged Potocki. After the reconstruction it was used as a family home, which eventually declined.
By strengthening the planning configuration close to a right angle triangle with cut sharp corners, which housed two angular towers. This made it possible to strategically important areas to create a powerful north and south nodes defensive castle. Another tower - pentagon that fixed the right angle triangle planning, was to provide flank protection walls in the south-east. From the north node preserved only in fragments muruvan bunk pentagon tower, acute-ledge of the second tower and wall of a residential building contained between them. Southwestern node castle also consisted of two bunk faceted towers, connected on the second floor shift with loopholes. Between the towers was constructed entrance gate with rusticated arched portal. Above the arch between the battlements against the backdrop of red sandstone muruvan stands sometimes mutilated white stone relief carving depicting two lions and cartouche with the arms.
So far remained high walls, a massive arch of the southern entrance; are the remains of towers, the land of the shaft, the ruins of buildings.
