The manorial court of Deleni is probably one of the oldest in Moldova, history of its beginnings being long lost. The first erected edifice, which is part of the current architectural ensemble, is the church, built in 1669, near the old manorial residence. Around 1730 a new residence was built, most probably over the old one.
After Maria Cantacuzino married in 1778 Constantin Ghica, the estate became property of the Ghica-Deleni Family. The refurbishment works carried out during their domination modeled the ensemble to its current shape. Until 1802 refurbishment and expansion works were done for the residence and a defense wall was erected round the estate. At the beginning of the 20th century the residence was refurbished after the project of architect Nicolae Ghika-Budeşti.
During the Second World War, for two years, Russian troops were located on the Deleni estate. After the nationalization, the building was used as the Community Center of Deleni, subsequently it became the tuberculosis sanatorium that we can still find today.
