Ciucea is famous for the Octavian Goga Memorial Museum, which is set in a beautiful castle. Between 1915-1917 the Hungarian poet Ady and his wife Csinszka (Boncza Berta) stayed in the castle of the Boncza family in Ciucea. After the death of his father, Ady's wife became the owner of the building. After the death of Ady Csinszka did not want to return to the castle from Ciucea, in memory of friendship of the two great poets offered for purchase Goga family. The Goga family accepted the offer and undertook the renovation of the buildings, and the castle was rebuilt.
