Since 1520 years old Tarnowice were held Włodków family who shortly after the mid-sixteenth century, built of stone quadrangular castle. Four wings were two-storey castle and courtyard in the middle of the square was surrounded by arcaded galleries. In the south-eastern corner quadrilateral tower built on three floors. The entrance to the castle was located on the axis of the western wing.
Włodek owned the castle until 1570 years. In 1724 it belonged to George von Gusnarda. During the subsequent reconstructions, conducted during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, the castle lost its original appearance. Bricked, entrance hall was rebuilt and enlarged the northern wing. The castle was surrounded by a large park.
