Description
Castle of the Teutonic over Leba. Order it erected in the mid-fourteenth century, the seat of the mayors of the Teutonic Knights. Founded on a rectangular plan without the courtyard, in the Gothic style. In 1410. In the hands of the troops of King Wladyslaw Jagiello. During the Thirteen Years' War again in Polish hands. Treaty of Thorn admitted it in fief to the Duke of Pomerania Eryk II. After the death of the last of the family in 1637, he again returned to Polish. Since 1657. In German hands. Repeatedly rebuilt from the sixteenth to the twentieth century. The original building has been preserved Gothic peak eastern part of the basement, shooting, castle mill and a portion of the peripheral wall.
