Description

The street of Gdansk are the ruins of the castle of the bishop. It was a castle built by the bishops of the chapter Pomezania in the early fourteenth century, a square with a courtyard and square towers at the corners and Gdanisko connected with the castle porch supported by five monumental arcades. King Wladyslaw Jagiello took the castle during the great expedition against the Teutonic Knights in 1410. The second room Thorn admitted castle in 1466 the Teutonic Knights. Swedes during the flood in 1655 damaged the castle. The Prussian authorities partially demolished it in the eighteenth century. In the currently preserved north and west wing houses a branch of the Castle Museum in Malbork. Also preserved the largest gdanisko and well tower with a porch.
