The history of the palace in Krasków dates back to the XIIIth cent., when at the place of a present building stood a wooden-earth borough. At its place in the XIVth cent. a brick knight’s castle was constructed. Then the building was often changing its hands. In the years of 1611-1616 Zygmund von Zedlitz rebuilt the castle, which was destroyed 51 years later during the Thirty Years War. The next destructions were brought about by the fire from 1742. The monument was then rebuilt in a style of a baroque palace. In 1848 the building was passed in bequest into hands of Rudolf von Salisch, whose family ruled over the palace till the end of the World War II. After the war as it usually tended to be with that type of buildings, the palace became the seat of PGR (state-owned collective farm), which contributed to a considerable devastation. Next the castle had a few different private owners until 1992 when its restoration was started. Since then the castle houses a hotel.

The first castle was built probably in the XIII century as a knight manor, guarding the river Bystrzyca, but this is only an assumption, since the first mention of it comes from 1389, when the brothers Gawin i Wolfarth von Reichenbach sold part of the village with the castle.
By the end of XIV century the village belonged to the family von Manov, von Glosse, von Aulock, von Bolze i von Schwarzenwalde. Then, in 1401 - 1468 years - to the family von Schindel.
Over the next 200 years it belonged to members of families von Schellendorf, von Mühlheim i von Reichenbach.
At the turn of the XVI and XVII centuries the bulding was expanded on the east side, in the same time changing the current part. The result was a renaissance palace with tower, covered with a gable roof. In the second half of the XVII century a gallery was built, but in the XVIII century it was immured in the upper floors, leaving only the arcades on the ground floor. In 1777 the facility received a new roof covering and a restored tower. In 1821 another reconstruction was carried out, this time in classic style. There also the adjoining manor appeared, which included a four-story palace with a tower from the side yard, a smithy and stables. In addition, some garden pavilion was built.
From 1650 Ludwig baron von Monteverques became the castle's owner, he was a general and commander of the Silesian troops in the war with Turkey. In 1655 the general's widow married Hermann von Opersdorfa and so the estate was in the hands of this family until 1705. Then, by way of collateral, it became the property of Charles Ferdinand von Seher-Toss.
Since 1771 Ernst Sigismund von Tschirsky und Bögendorf was an owner of the castle.
In 1832, the son of Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm II, Frederick William of Brandenburg bought Domanice from one of the descendants.
From 1909 to 1945 the estate remained in hands of family of graphs Pukler.
An interesting fact is that during the repair of the tower in 1910 documents from 1777, 1804 and 1852 were discovered.
After World War II the building was nationalized. It lost some old very valuable German stained from XV and XVII centuries, that have been removed and taken to the National Museum in Wroclaw.
Nowadays the palace belongs to the entrepreneur of Lower Silesia.

Castle Domanicach

Zamek w Piotrowicach Świdnickich – wybudowany w latach 1590-1599, w późniejszych wiekach kilkakrotnie przerabiany i remontowany, ostatnio w latach 1989-1990.

Zamek położony jest w Piotrowicach Świdnickich – wsi w Polsce, w województwie dolnośląskim, w powiecie świdnickim, w gminie Jaworzyna Śląska, na południowy wschód od Wzgórz Strzegomskich.

Renesansowy zamek wzniesiony w latach 1590-1599 przez Jacoba von Sedlitza na miejscu zamku wodnego. Podczas wojny trzydziestoletniej budynek został kompletnie splądrowany. W latach 1698-1699 przeprowadzono niewielką przebudowę i remont. W XIX wieku zamek podupadł, dopiero w 1894 roku został wyremontowany, kiedy to gruntownie przebudowano górne piętro, a wieże zaopatrzono w kryte blachą szczyty.
W 1945 roku budynek został zdewastowany i w następnych latach popadał w ruinę. W latach 1973-1976 przeprowadzono remont, ścian i stropów, a w latach 1989-1990 odnowiono elewacje i zabezpieczono więźbę dachową.

Budynek jest murowany z kamienia i cegły, potynkowany, wzniesiony na rzucie kwadratu, podpiwniczony, dwukondygnacyjny i nakryty wysokim dachem dwuspadowym. Na czterech flankach pałacu znajdują się cylindryczne baszty kryte iglicowymi hełmami. Układ wnętrz jest trzytraktowy. Wokół dworu zachowana fosa nad którą, przerzucono pięcioprzęsłowy most. Obiekt jest częścią zespołu zamkowego, w skład którego wchodzą jeszcze: park z XIX wieku oraz folwark z XVIII-XIX wieku a w nim: budynek mieszkalno-gospodarczy, spichrz, stodoła, obora.


Castle in Piotrowice Świdnickie

You can now admire preserved in the form of a permanent ruin remains of the castle from the end of the thirteenth century. Since they bought the castle of the von Maciej Logau (with Lagow of Lubusz Land). Under the rule of the family, the castle was rebuilt into a fortified Renaissance chateau. Reconstruction of Maciej Jerzy son graduated in 1587. From this period in addition to the fortification dates back to the gatehouse, a porch with parapets and north courtyard. 
During the Thirty Years War the castle was damaged. In 1680, the owner of the castle was John Eben, then there was a siege of the fortress by the peasants rebelled against too high powinnościom court. Since then, the castle began to fall into disrepair and the last owners left him in 1774. It was not until half a century later, in 1824, began the restoration work. They made their Zeydlitzowie, the last owners of the castle. In 1869 the tower was burned down after a lightning strike. At the entrance to the upper preserved Renaissance castle dating from 1570 years of reliefs eight virtues and eight coats of arms owners.

Grodno castle in Silesia Zagórz

Książ (German: Schloss Fürstenstein) is a castle in Wałbrzych in Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland. It was built in 1288-1292 under Bolko I the Strict. It lies within a protected area called Książ Landscape Park, overlooks the Pełcznica River and is one of the city's main tourist attractions.
The original fortification was destroyed in the year 1263 by Ottokar II of Bohemia. Bolko I, Duke of Świdnica and Jawor built a new castle between 1288 and 1292. Duke Bolko II of Świdnica died in 1368 without having children with his wife Agnes von Habsburg. After her death in the year 1392 King Wenceslaus IV of Bohemia obtained the castle. In 1401 Janko from Chociemice obtained the castle. The Bohemian Hussites occupied the castle between 1428-1429. In the year 1464 Birka from Nasiedla obtained the castle from the Bohemian crown. He sold it to Hans von Schellendorf. This second castle was destroyed in 1482 by Georg von Stein. In the year 1509 Konrad I von Hoberg (from 1714: Hochberg) obtained the castle hill. The Hochberg family owned the castle until the 1940s.
The castle was seized by the Nazi regime in 1944 because the Prince of Pless Hans Heinrich XVII had moved to England in 1932 and become a British citizen; also his brother Count Alexander of Hochberg who was a Polish citizen and the owner of Schloss Pleß (today Pszczyna Castle), had joined the Polish army. Fürstenstein castle was a part of the Project Riese until 1945 when it was occupied by the Red Army. Countless artefacts were stolen or destroyed by the Soviets.
It has been claimed that the castle was being outfitted as a future abode for Adolf Hitler.
