Description

Gothic castle was built on a bend of the river Storbava by family Chambory in the middle of the XIV century. Then, repeatedly it was rebuilt and expanded. Castle, except the tower, is made of brick, plastered and built on a trapezoid plan, around a courtyard. The oldest part of the fortress is a cylindrical tower from the middle of the XIV century, enlarged in the XVI century, covered with a conical roof. Near the tower is curtain wall, that connects it to the front of the building. In the second half of the XVIII century in the south-west corner a dwelling house was built. A two-storey dwelling house was built in the shape of "L" and covered with a roof. From the south courtyard the castle has another residential house built in the second half of the XIX century. It is a rectangular two-storey, flat-roofed house with facades decorated with simple moldings. In the east wing of the castle is the master's house, built in the XVI century, a defensive wall, and in the north - a chapel in the Baroque style, built in 1715 on a rectangular plan. The castle is surrounded by a small park, since the XIX century. Close to farm thera are buildings of the old farm, divided between different owners. A valuable part of the economic building is a two-storey granary in the first half of the XIX century. An invalid mill is also an interesting building, located next to a wooden bridge leading to the castle.
