Bufalini Castle of San Giustino was built at the end of the 15th century as a military fortress.
During the first half of the 16th century, it first underwent a transformation into a fortified patrician palace, with large loggias of late Renaissance taste.
The vast park surrounding it consists of an “Italian” Garden, alongside lemon houses, fountains and a labyrinth designed implanted in 1692. The visitor is offered the opportunity of enjoying a preserved environment under all aspects: from the historical and artistic ones to the architecture, the furnishings and fittings decorating the interior of the premises, even including the Bufalini family archives.
All these components make the palace a rare example of a noble residence.
Recently reopened to the public, Bufalini Castle is under the care of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activies and Tourism and the supervision of the Museum center of Umbria.
