Rehech castle stands on top of 625-meter-high mountain located between two villages and Mogyoróska Regec.
The first mention of the castle were in 1307. The castle was built by members of the nation Aba, perhaps in XIII-XIV centuries. In the following centuries the castle was under royal possession. During the middle ages the following family owned lock, Shapolyay, Wednesday, Alah and Esterhazy.
The castle served his last military purpose during the revolution, led by Tekeli, when it became a place of storage of war materials to "Kuruc". In 1685 the mercenaries of "Keizer" blew the dust wall.
In 1990 excavations began thanks to the initiative of the Hungarian patriots.
