The Château de Sévérac is a 13th and 18th centuries castle in the commune of Sévérac-le-Château in the Aveyron département of France.
The castle site has belonged to several families: the Sévéracs, Armagnacs, and Arpajons. The latter built a Renaissance style castle whose south face can still be seen.
Visitors today can see ramparts, walls, watch towers, the chapel and kitchen, in which demonstrations of medieval cooking are given. An exhibition of medieval costumes can be seen in the chapel and recitals of troubadour music and demonstrations of their instruments are held.
The Château de Sévérac is one of a group of 23 castles in Aveyron which have grouped together to provide a tourist itinerary as La Route des Seigneurs du Rouergue. The property of the commune, the castle is listed as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture.

The Château de Peyrelade is a ruined castle in the commune of Rivière-sur-Tarn in the Aveyron département of France.
The name is derived from the occitan "Pèira Lada", meaning wide rock; an accurate description of the site. Objects found on the site suggest it was inhabited in prehistoric times.
Thanks to its position controlling the entrance to the gorges du Tarn, it was one of the most important castles in the Rouergue province. It existed at least as far back as the 12th century, and was the scene of incessant battles and sieges until 1633 when it was dismantled on the orders of Richelieu.
The ruins give a good idea of the layout of the castle. The outer wall was more than 250m (~800 ft) long, 10m (~33 ft) high and 2.1m (~7 ft) thick. The castle was dominated by a natural rock keep more than 50m (~163 ft) high, only accessible from a round tower attached to it.
The Château de Peyrelade is one of a group of 23 castles in Aveyron which have joined together to provide a tourist itinerary as La Route des Seigneurs du Rouergue. Château de Peyrelade is open to visitors from mid-June to mid-September.

From our first glimpse of this grand building we fell under its spell, it was asking for revival. Its only activity for many years had been in the summer as a holiday camp for children. The long Lozerian winters had made their sad imprint.
Without too much reflection we launched into a difficult but extremely gratifying adventure.
Today, almost  “new” the Chateau’s doors are open to you. Whether you are Pilgrims, travellers, tourists, nature lovers…. you are welcome to come spend a “moment” with us at our  « Terre d’Instants ».
Lozère
Well known and loved for it’s beauty, it’s tranquillity, it’s landscapes, it’s people, the four leaf clover is the emblem of the region. The Margeride, the Aubrac, the causses and the Cevennes are the four leaves, which are each distinct geographical formations that come together here in Lozere and are also the sources of many rivers the Lot, the Tarn, The Allier, the Truyère, the Chassezac, the Altier etc…

Château des Sallèles

Château de Galinières is a walled barn situated in the municipality of Pierrefiche in Aveyron. It overlooks the meanders of the Serre valley. The construction of the tower, a square plan tower-loft, begins in 1371. The second floor is said chamber of the Abbot, which retain painted decoration referring vine shoots. In the backyard, the home of storage timber is set against the fortifications; we notice a door arch, a Gothic window and window seats at windows. The building that houses the fold is composed of arcs diaphragms. It belonged to the family Baldit. The threshing floor dates from the early seventeenth century. Fountains, houses for the farm staff complete the package. Galinières barn was the subject of several protections as historical monuments: the barn itself is the subject of a registration as a historic monument since February 13, 1928. The keep (facades and roofs) is the subject of a classification as historical monuments since February 26, 1988. The tower is open to visitors since 1992. Finally, the assembly including the former home of the storage timber, the old barn that was owned by the family Baldit and the threshing floor is the subject of a registration as a historic monument since May 26 1999.

Château de Galinières

Le manoir de Montesquiou est un château situé à La Malène en Lozère. Cette demeure du xve siècle est actuellement reconvertie en hôtel.
Situation
Le château est situé dans les gorges du Tarn, sur la commune de La Malène, non loin d'autres châteaux tels celui de la Caze.
Histoire
Propriété de la famille de Montesquiou, le château est voué à disparaître au xviie siècle. En effet, le 28 septembre 1652, Louis XIII ordonne de raser les forteresses du royaume déclarées comme rebelles. Cependant, alors qu'il arrive le temps de raser celui de La Malène, le roi autorise Pierre de Montesquiou d'Artagnan à garder intact son domaine en remerciement de services rendus à la couronne.
Il a depuis, au xxe siècle, été transformé en hôtel de luxe.

In 1636, a feeling of apprehension and expectancy prevailed in the La Caze castle. The master of the house, David de MALIAN, had gone to Paris with his wife Marguerite de GARCEVAL to pay court to King Louis 13 th and to Cardinal Richelieu, who ruled France with a rod of iron. In recent years, the kingdom had been spasmodically shaken by the urge to get rid of the terrible prime minister. Heads and castles had fallen in the attempt. Hadn’t they just finished dismantling the extraordinary Peyrelade fortress, perched like an eagle’s eyrie 6 or 7 leagues downstream, and believed to be impregnable ?
The sight of the half-demolished walls had checked many hotheads and David de MALIAN, Lord of LA CAZE, had no desire to be counted in the rebel’s camp. He left his feoff in the capable hands of Anne des ONDES, his father’s second wife. In his castle protected by towering cliffs, moats filled with running water and the Tarn River, the elderly dowager kept watch over a little world of men-at-arms, menservants and peasants. She also watched over David and Marguerite’s children, for whom she acted as grandmother, and was especially attentive to Martha, whose health was delicate.
One winter evening when gusts of wind made the stained glass windows creak in their leaden frames and the crows caw in the machicolations, she went to visit Marthe in her room, before she went to bed. She found the child pale and trembling in her feather bed, her lashes glistening with tears.
The little girl confessed that she was frightened by the storm and that with her parents away the castle made her gloomy. She dreamed that an army of crows had torn away the roofs and ceilings and left her all alone in a bare room, at the mercy of all weathers.
Moved by the child’s fears and wanting to instil in Marthe a sense of the dignity of her ancestors, Anne des ONDES told her story of the ladies of LA CAZE.
