Laréole Castle is a Renaissance castle dating from the sixteenth century in the canton of Cadours, department of Haute-Garonne in Midi-Pyrenees. It belongs to the General Council of Haute-Garonne. Laréole Castle was built in 1579 on the common Laréole, bordering the hills of Gascogne, for Pierre Cheverry, son of a prominent merchant of pastel, by the architect Dominique Bachelier, son of Nicolas Bachelier.
He served time for second homes, where Toulouse notable came for relaxing. In 1984, for the sake of heritage conservation, the General Council of Haute-Garonne bought the property. In the eighteenth century, it was enriched with a French garden and statues of Marc Arcis. The castle is classified as historical monuments since 1927, the common and gate balls since 1991 and the park, its moat, its courtyards and patios since 1994. The site is open to the public and tours are free.
