The history of Château de Chasselas dates back to the 14th century with the Lords of Chasselas
The history of Château de Chasselas dates back to the 14th century with the Lords of Chasselas. Set in the heart of the village of Chasselas, which gave its name to the famous grape variety, the estate currently covers 6 hectares. Visitors enter the estate (listed as a historic monument) by a beautiful drive running through the vineyards, before arriving at a vast interior courtyard. The estate’s long tradition of winemaking continues with its new owners Jean-Marc Veyron la Croix and Jacky Martinon. Since taking over in 1999, they have taken great pains to develop high quality wines that reflect the identity of their terroir.
