The remains of this castle are dated back to the XVI century. It is a quadrilateral with cubes at the corners, which there is only one of them and the foundations of the others. In addition, you can see the remains of the columns of the courtyard and semi-Gothic voussoirs, scattered in the atrium of the church. Today, it is a private property and is used as a dwelling.

The original castle preserved three wall sections and three turrets of different styles and origins. The main par of the castle was formed by the Tower of Homage, of the 14th century, it has matacanes and round arches, and under the tower is the main yard and the rooms. The castle contains 14th-century paintings.
It was the resting place of the prelates of the Ávila bishopric, and held important episcopal synods, as the one in 1384. Bishop Sancho Dávila had a wall built around the village in the 14th century.

Castle of Bonilla de la Sierra

Gothic castle of the 14th century, owned by the Duke of Medinaceli. Partly restored interior, is used occasionally as a house.
Its singular name is product of the legend of an impossible love between a lady and a gentleman, thus this castle would be their place of meeting.
