The Castle of Enrique II of Trastamara is located at Plaza del Castillo, 1. This was built in 1372 by Enrique II of Trastamara and the architect was Lope Arias Jenizaro. There is a square Homage tower that measures 17 meters high. The tower is crowned with battlements. The tower has two floors and the upper floor has two Gothic windows. The lower floor has two salons. The city walls were connected to the castle and were built at the end of the 15th century by Juan de Cabrera on the orders of Fernando III. The city walls enclosed the city and had a circumference of two kilometers. It became a parador in 1930. The reception area is in a greenhouse type of building with plenty of light, so it is very pleasant to visit.
