A significant monument of Moravian Renaissance
A significant monument of Moravian Renaissance. The first written record dates back to 1259. The front is Classical, the second courtyard has a Renaissance arcade with interesting relief symbols (wealth, talent, fame, etc). The interiors of the first floor house a unique hanging painting from the 16th century, stucco ceilings, historical furniture.
The current exposition includes almost the entire first floor of the chateau. The accessible rooms are equipped with furnishings, paintings and decorated with stucco work and frescoes. The exposition is a cross-section of the chateau’s history from renaissance times, through the lavish mannerist stucco ornamentation and baroque furniture to classical paintings in the chateau chapel.
