Olomouc Premyslid Castle is one of the most important castle complexes in the Czech Republic. It located on the Wenceslas hill in the historic city of Olomouc.
Originally there were two castles in Olomouc called "Old" and "new". The old one was located at the site of Villa Primavesi (street Alley).
Olomouc Castle is a National Cultural Monument of Czech Republic since 1962, together with other monuments on the territory of Czechoslovakia by the Government Resolution dated March 30, 1962, no. 251/62, and Regulation of the Government dated 16 August 1995, no. 262/1995.

Hradisko Monastery was originally a Benedictine monastery, from the mid-12th century a premonstratensian monastery in Olomouc in the Czech Republic. It was established in 1078 and it serves as a military hospital since 1802.
Architecture of this Baroque monastery is designed by Giovanni Pietro Tencalla. There are statuary and reliefs in ceremonial hall by Josef A. Winterhalder.

Hradisko Monastery

Originally a fortress which was reconstructed into a Renaissance chateau during the rule of the Bruntalsky of Vrbna. In the 17th century, it was reconstructed and expanded in Baroque style. There was a brewery here until 1945.

Velká Bystřice Chateau

It is characteristic for its sophisticated imitations of French chateaux enhanced by the influence of Moravian Baroque. It has a typical layout, i.e. four wings around the courtyard. It is surrounded by a round park covering the total area of 2.5 hectares. In the centre of the park there is the Chateau with four roads leading to all cardinal points. The roads are lined by lime trees. Besides others the Chateau’s pride is an extensive collection of ceremonial carriages that belonged to bishops and archbishops of Olomouc.
In the park we can find majestic trees, to name just some copper beech or nowadays very popular ginco biloba. The last significant changes in the park were done under the supervision of the garden architect Křemen in 1925. This property belongs to the most important ones in Moravia. Besides interesting trees there is a colonnade, cast-iron pavilion and swimming pool.
In 1726 the Náměšť estate was bought by the Harrach’s that belonged to significant families in the Habsburg Empire. Then they used the so-called “Lower Chateau” as their seat. After the 7-year war ended (exactly on 01/03/1766) Ferdinand Bonaventura started building a new chateau close to the ruins of the medieval castle. This new summer seat is built in the early Clacissist style and the inspiration from French chateaux is obvious. At the same time the round park around the Chateau was founded. From the Chateau there are roads leading to all cardinal points. The roads are lined by lime trees. On the periphery of the back half-circle there were built 17 houses for weavers – plots run in radiants into the space. Such a settlement is very unusual and it is unique in our country. The new chateau is also known as the “Upper Chateau” and the old one is called the “Lower Chateau”.

Náměšť na Hané Castle

The chateau was built in 1765, by members of the Dominican convent in Olomouc as a summer residence. After the monastery in 1782 acquired the castle religious fund.

Citov Chateau

In the mid-19th century the building acquired its present, Imperial appearance. The same period also marks the redevelopment of the Baroque garden into a natural landscape park, linking up to the woodland of Kosíř. The influential Moravian painter Josef Mánes, who had his studio there in 1846-1870, drawing inspiration for his paintings. Nowadays, the chateau hosts an exhibition of Mánes's works.

Čechy pod Kosířem Chateau

Originally a water fortress from 1567 let Christopher Mauschwitz of Armenruh demolished in 1600 to build a late-Renaissance chateau. Its present form was given in 1855 by Count Josef of Nostitz. Interesting is the decoration of the chapel on the first floor.

Rokytnice Chateau

Tovačov is surrounded by water and alluvial forest on three sides. According to legend, the castle was founded as a sanctuary for hunters. It was reconstructed as a renaissance chateau by the last of the Cimburks.
Almost one hundred meters high, the so-called "Graceful Tower" of the chateau offers a unique view of the town of Tovačov. The Lords of Cimburk in 14th century then redeveloped it into a Renaissance chateau. As well as thematic, temporary exhibitions, a particular attraction for visitors to the chateau is the entrance portal of the tower from 1492, distinguished as the oldest Italian Renaissance structure in Moravia. The left wing of the chateau includes a splendid copy of the Vienna Opera staircase, the chateau chapel with early Baroque stucco decoration, two large halls, an exhibition of the Lords of Gutmann and an exhibition of Ctibor Tovačovský of Cimburk.

Tovačov Chateau

The chateau and surrounding area are situated on a former citadel, which was there already in the 13th century. The history is closely linked with the village and estate. Famous and well-educated families such as the Zoubeks of Zdětín (1481-1590), the Hájovský (1590-1604), the Bokůvek of Bokůvka (1604-1622), Polish nobleman and writer Vavřinec Jan the knight Rudawski (1661-1671) and the gentry of Witten and Andlern used to live here. These families changed the original citadel into a chateau, which was also reconstructed for several times.
In the beginning of the 19th century the Terchs, originally a burgess family, bought both the estate and chateau. Antonín Tersch initiated the reconstruction into the current design in the middle of the 19th century. Based on some elements the author of the reconstruction might have been Anton Arche, the architect that designed for example Podzámecká and Květná garden at Kroměříž – monuments protected by UNESCO. Then the vegetable and fruit garden was transformed into an English park with small decorative constructions. In the thirties of the 20th century a small pavilion in the corner of the park was rebuilt into a family crypt.
During the 70s of the 20th century they established a hotel here. nowadays the chateau is not used and the premises are closed down.

Chudobín Chateau

The owner of the original Gothic castle became the Pernštejn family at the end of the 15th century. Přerov came into the possession of Karel the Elder of Žerotín at the turn of the 17th century, at which time the remodelling of the castle into a Renaissance Château culminated. The majority of the construction adaptations in the interiors and the exteriors of the château were finally carried out in the first half of the 19th century by Count Antonín Magnis and his son Vilém. The château was no longer used for housing purposes by the end of the 19th century. The château was taken over by the town of Přerov after the founding of Czechoslovakia which decided to adapt the château interiors for museum exhibitions and a depository. Comenius Museum was moved into the spaces of the château at the beginning of the 1930s and is used up until the present for museum purposes.

Přerov Chateau

Plumlov Chateau is located near the Plumlov Lake. The construction of this early-Mannerist chateau on the site of a 13th-century castle was initiated in 1680 by Johann Adam of Liechtenstein.
However, only one of the four intended wings was built. A particularly impressive feature is the forefront with its large columns. Numerous international music and theatre festivals take place at the chateau and its surroundings each year.
