Description
In the 13th century, a Gothic castle was founded on a bank of the Sázava river, which was reconstructed to a Renaissance chateau three centuries later and adapted to suit the then-modern Baroque style in the 17th century. In 1920s it has become a town museum, the showpieces of which are still exhibited in the original display cases and according to then museum custom. The rotund tower provides a vista of rolling landscape of the Sázava Basin.
