Klenová castle is a large castle located in southwest Bohemia near the town of Klatovy. Only ruins remain from the original castle but buildings of a new chateau were added in the 19th century.

Maximilian Norbert commenced the building construction in the 18th century. In 1760, it was reconstructed into today's form, a French park was established, later redone into an Englis park. The chateau serves as a hotel, orphanage.

Týnec Chateau

The first archival reference is from 1339, probably a large fortress already stood on the site back then. In the 16th century it was expanded into the form of a castle. In the 16th century, the Kočový of Dobrš had the castle reconstructed into a Renaissance chateau. During the period of the Hohenzoller's in 1848 - 1852 costly reconstruction was carried out in Pseudo-Gothic style, which largely affected mainly the north facade of the chateau and the entry tower.

Nový Čestín Chateau

The castle was founded at the end of the 13th century by Bohemian nobleman Bohumil of Budětice, on the rock above the small river Ostružná. The castle with two palaces on the opposite sides connected with special tower "Donjon" with stone bridge which is unique in Europe. This bridge was Bušek´s work which was a chamberlain and friend of the famous Bohemian king Charles IV. In the 15th century the Velhartice castle became property of the lords of Hradec. They built second walls around the castle with bastions and watchtower. There were built dipstillary and brewery on the lower courtyard. In the 17th century Martin de Hoeff Huerta built a renaissance palace between the Southern palace and the Paradise palace. The last private owner of the Velhartice castle was Josef Windischgrätz. Since the year 1945 it belongs to the state.

Nový Herštejn Castle

Lázeň Chateau

The original stronghold was founded probably at the end of the 13th century. After the Thirty Years War it fell to the Emperor’s order to demolish all places, which could in the future serve as enemy’s shelter. Švihov Castle

Červené Poříčí Château is a unique monument of the Saxon Renaissance in the Pilsen Region. It was built in 1611 by Mikuláš Šic of Drahenice on the site of an older fortress. Due to his participation in the uprising of the Bohemian estates, the château was confiscated from Šic in 1623 and was subsequently owned by various Bavarian noble families. The Hauben family, the relatives Törrings of Jettenbach and Klement Franz I, Duke of Bavaria, were responsible for the Renaissance reconstruction of the château.
In the nineteenth century, the château was owned by the Habsburg imperial family, specifically the dukes of Tuscany.
The château became a state property with the founding of Czechoslovakia. After the Second World War it became the headquarters of a forestry company. It was used as a residential facility for employees starting in the 1960s. The National Heritage Institute took over administration of the château in 1997. Since 2010 it has been a national cultural monument.
