The The Chateau at Klášterec nad Ohří is on the left bank of the Ohře River, in the northwestern part of the historical region of Bohemia. It is in Klášterec nad Ohří of the Ústí nad Labem Region in the Czech Republic. The chateau complex is a prominent landmark in the town's recently restored historic urban conservation area.
The chateau is set in an extensive landscape park, with 220 tree species, some rare from around the world. The park features a Baroque style sala terrena pavilion, with a gloriette mezzanine decorated with architectural sculptures by Jan Brokoff (1680s).
The park's northern section has an installation of the Stations of the Cross (1690s) and the Church of the Holy Trinity with the Crypt of the Thun Noble Family.

Egerberk (or Egerberg, in Czech Lestkov) is a ruined castle near Klášterec nad Ohří. The name is derived from the German name of the Ohře river - Eger => Egerberg. The Czech name is by the village Lestkov, now an administrative part of Klášterec nad Ohří.
First mentioned in 1317, the castle belonged to Wilhelm who first started to bear the attribute name "of Egerberg". Wilhelm was a friend of John of Luxembourg and accompanied him on his journeys. His brother Fritz was given several villages and started to bear the name of one of them - Pětipsy. The castle was then sold to the House of Šumburk from a nearby castle. In 1384 Egerberk was added to the property of the House of Škopek and Jindřich Škopek z Dubé started a large-scale reconstruction. At the end of the 16th century the castle was already abandoned.

Egerberk Castle

The castle of Kadaň is mentioned as early as in 1289. It was established as a four-wing Premyslid castle with a housing palace over the river. It served as the seat of the royal burgrave – the administrator of the Kadan region. It was rebuilt in the mid-15th century. After it had been damaged during the Thirty Years Wars, Maria Therese allowed it to be rebuilt as military quarters in 1750. The castle is currently statically secured; it has a new roof and facade. The eastern wing is used for the municipal library with an internet cafe and ceremonial hall. The Josef Liesler Gallery has been in operation since September 2000. A nursing home is situated in another part of the castle.

Kadaň Castle

The castle, first mentioned in Maiestas Carolina, was probably founded by Friedrich of Schönburg to guard the way from Prague to Saxony. The castle was seized by Václav IV of Luxembourg in the early 15th century and given to Nicholas of Lobkowicz.
The most renowned inhabitant of the castle was Bohuslav Hasištejnský z Lobkovic, a poet and traveller who was born in Hassenstein and lived there permanently from 1503 to his death in 1510. He gathered a huge library (comprising more than 650 volumes) in the castle, resulting in many scholars and humanists visiting Hasištejn Castle to borrow his books. Martin Luther and Philipp Melanchthon were among his visitors.
After Bohuslav's death in 1510, Hasištejn Castle began to fall into disrepair, which was exacerbated when it caught fire in 1560. Although the castle is now a ruin, its tower and walls remain standing to this day. While the castle became state property during the Communist regime, it was returned to the Lobkowicz family after 1989.

Hasištejn Castle

The castle was built in the 13th century by Přemysl Otakar II or his son Václav II to guard royal paths and local mines. The first known owner was Mikuláš Winkler, burgrave of Loket Castle, who sold Hauenštejn to the monastery in Doksany. The monastery exchanged it for another building with King John of Luxemburg. His son Charles IV enlarged the castle‘s domain. The castle frequently changed its keepers in the second half of the 14th century and the 15th century but it more or less remained royal property. The rich family of Šlik that started silver mining near Jáchymov won the castle in the 16th century. The Šliks rebuilt the castle in the Renaissance style after a fire in 1600. In 1663 the Šliks sold the castle to the Saxe-Lauenburg ducal family and it became part of the Ostrov domain. The castle was in the hands of the Baden family from 1689. When the last male member of the family died in 1771, the property of the Badens in Bohemia was inherited by the royal family of Maria Theresa. The Habsburgs sold it to the Buquoy family in 1837. Countess Gabrielle Buquoy started to rebuild the castle in a Romantic style. Ferdinand Buquoy continued the reconstruction under the influence of historism, taking its examples from England (Windsor, Arundel, Belvoir, Lancaster or Oxford) and Bavaria (Hohenswangau, Lahneck).

Hauenštejn Castle

The town of Ostrov is dominated by the recently reconstructedchateau. The Renaissance Šlik chateau was enlarged and rebuilt in Baroque style by the Dukes of Saxe-Lauenburg and the Margraves of Baden. The stone entrance portal was created by local sculptor Martin Möckl in 1690. The Bílá brána (White Gate) made by master stonemason Paul Büttner serves as the present-day entrance to the chateau park. The original extensive chateau park was once denoted as the eighth wonder of the world.  After the Šlik chateau had been damaged by a fire in 1691, its part facing the garden was rebuilt into the so-called Pohledová zeď (Face Wall) by court builder Domenico Egidio Rossi. In 1809, the Ostrov demesne passed into the possession of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany. In the 1870s it was rebuilt according to the plans of Damian Klemm. The chateau served different purposes in the past. During World War II, for example, it served as a branch of the Flossenbürg concentration camp. Until its reconstruction in 2012, it had housed a secondary industrial and engineering school.
Since the completion of its reconstruction in 2014, the chateau has been serving as the seat of the town council. The inner courtyard of the chateau known as the Dvorana (Atrium) is covered with a glass roof and its combination of historic and modern architecture creates space ideal for various cultural and social events.

Ostrov Chateau

The first records of Krasný Dvůr date back to the 14th century, since then numerous aristocratic families (e.g. Kolowrats) held possession of it until Count Hermann Czernin von und zu Chudenitz bought it in the middle of the 17th century. Count Franz Josef Czernin von und zu Chudenitz decided to start an extensive reconstruction on a Renaissance villa built on the site of a Gothic stronghold originally constructed by Jan Maštovský of Kolovraty at the end of the 16th century.
The reconstruction project was undertaken by well-known Czech architect František Maxmilián Kaňka and was distinctly influenced by the French architecture; construction went on between 1720 and 1724. Some alterations of Chateau buildings were made at the end of the 18th century (in 1783 the chapel was erected, in 1791–92 two-pair staircases were built in the court and in the northern garden and ground arcades were walled at the same time.)

Krásný Dvůr Castle

The baroque castle built in the place of former gothic stronghold is interesting for its beautiful portal and arcade courtyard. In 1938 this castle witnessed the meeting between lord Runciman and representatives of Sudetes Germans which foreshadowed the Munich Agreement.

Parish church of St John the Baptist´s Nativity in the square was founded in the mid-13th century, the site of the present-day chateau was then occupied by a Gothic castle.

Valeč Chateau

Andělská Hora, originally called Engelsburg, is a castle above the village of Andělská Hora, about 7 kilometres (4 mi) southeast of Karlovy Vary, in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic.
The ruins of the Andělská Hora castle stands upon a rock overlooking the village of Andělská Hora which lies just below. It was founded at the turn of the 14th to the 15th century by Boreš z Rýznburk, a noblemen from the Rýznburk family, as protection for their estates. The castle was destroyed by fire during the Thirty Years' War and abandoned in the 17th century.
