The delightful Renaissance chateau is the highlight of Blansko. A number of distinguished personalities have lived here, such as the doctor and archaeologist Jindřich Wankel and the Austrian writer Ferdinand von Saar. The most famous personality associated with Blansko Chateau is Caroline Meineke, wife of the future King of England William IV and heroine of an ancient tale of unrequited love.
The chateau stands on the site of an original Gothic feudal court mentioned in sources in the 14th century. The building has four wings with a rectangular inner courtyard with pillared arcades. The chateau’s Renaissance appearance dates back to the beginning of the 17th century. It was built in 1604–1605 by Jan Žalkovský of Žalkovice. It has undergone numerous alterations since that time. In 1695, the Gellhorns built the chateau tower and clock, while the interior layout was altered during the time of the Salms in the 19th century. General repairs to the chateau were performed in 1969 with the aim of restoring the purity of the building’s Renaissance style.
The last restoration of the chateau courtyard was completed in 2012 and gave rise to new expositions in the form of an exhibition of cast-iron sculptures, the Chemical Laboratory of Baron Reichenbach, the Discoverers of the Moravian Karst, and the Castles of the Blansko Region.

The reconstructed ruin of a stronghold built on the promontory above the Svitava river in the 15th century. At the beginning of the 19th century it was rebuilt into a hunting castle, which was abandoned in the 50s of the 20th century. Close to the New castle are visible remains of the Old castle from the 13th century.

Nový Hrad u Adamova Castle

This Rococo-Classicist chateau fascinates visitors mostly because of its unique architecture, which is quite exceptional in Moravia, and by the richly-furnished interiors of the princes from the Salm family.
Among the rich collections is a vast collection of oriental china and the famous castle library with 60,000 volumes. The tradition of chateau gardening is demonstrated by the large English park and annual topical exhibitions of flowers in the chateau’s historical halls.
Night castle tours are a new tradition. Visitors can choose from among four chateau tours: a short tour lasting 40 minutes (ground floor or the first floor), a long tour lasting 80 minutes or just the chateau chapel with an exhibition area.
In a freely accessible castle complex includes a restaurant U Kata and Gallery Kruh, where sales take place exhibitions by leading artists. The chateau park is open daily from 06:00 to 20:00 and is also freely accessible.

Rájec nad Svitavou Chateau

Originally a castle reconstructed into a chateau. Built in the 13th century by the Lords of Boskovice. It burnt down during the times of the Aueršperks in 1726. It was restored in 1859-61 by Count Freiss in the renaissance style. At present it serves as a retirement home.

Černá Hora Chateau

The first reference to Křtiny dates back to the year 1237; but its history goes back as far as to the arrival of the Moravian missionaries Cyril and Methodius in the 9th century proof of which is the name of the township. 
The monastery of Křtiny was at the height of its fame in the 2nd half of the 18th century, soon after the church was consecrated. Before long, however, it was closed down by Emperor Joseph II. The church still served its religious purposes but the property of the monastery was sold. And new owners appeared – the Dietrichstein family, after them the Bubna family of Litice and then the Tauber family. In 1894 Jan II of Liechtenstein got hold of the Křtiny Chateau; he intended to repair it and donate it to the township to be used as a school or hospital. The Křtiny inhabitants however were worried that the costs would be too high and they did not accept this gift. Afterwards only the doctor lived here. 
In 1923 the University of Agriculture in Brno took over the Lichtenstein Adamov estate and at the same time also the Křtiny Chateau was handed over but it remained to be the dwelling of the doctor. During World War 2 it was used by the German army. Not until the 1950’s was the building used for practical training at the school farm. A number of special-purpose construction works and repairs were done but as a whole the chateau was dilapidating. In the early 1980’s the University of Agriculture in Brno handed the chateau over to the administration of the School Forest Enterprise Křtiny, because from 1967 to 1996 it had been the seat of the enterprise headquarters (until 1996). 
Since 1994 the chateau has been extensively reconstructed. First of all, the roof timbers were redeveloped and the roofing was restored to prevent the rain coming in; in 1997 the south wing was reconstructed. At the end of 2001 the well-equipped state-of-the-art audio visual educational room was built. The social hall was redeveloped. After that the main building underwent complete overhaul and redevelopment. In November 2008 the remaining part of the chateau- the north wing - was inspected and passed. Two floors were converted to accommodation facilities, a new kitchen with restaurant, on the ground floor space for a potential information centre and multi-purpose room. In 2010 the reconstruction was completed.

Křtiny Chateau

 First establishment in this locality is mentioned around the year 1480. It is a stronghold built by Lords of Kunstat. It is not clear if that stronghold stood at the same place like the chateau today. Divis Cerncicky of Kacov had built a renaissance water stronghold on a place of today castle in the middle of 16th century. The family Cerncicky of Kacov took possession of Lysice in 1529. As reminder of the stronghold stands western wing of the castle and a water moat that you have crossed when you entered the place. Next constructional changes, still in renaissance can be dated to the beginning of 17th century. At that time lineage Breznicky from Nachod owned the mansion. The water stronghold was rebuilt into renaissance chateau with arcades placed in the inner courtyard.  Following constructional adaptation comes from 1730. From that time we have beautiful exterior baroque facades of southern and eastern wing.  Antonin Amatus Serenyi had initiate that change. Facades possibly designed well known architect Moric Grimm from Brno. Last building changes in 1807 were accomplished by Emanuel Dubsky from Trebomyslice. Architectural changes were executed by master mason Frantisek Vasicek and his son Kajetan. We think that these two builders created the colonnade with covered pergola, so typical for the castle’s garden. The colonnade replaced in 1807 renaissance gallery. Most of the castle interiors originated in 19th century in historical style. In such appearance you will see the exibition. Family Dubsky lived here until the castles nationalization in 1945. After the World War the II. the chateau was open to the public. A big reconstruction went on in 1966-1972 by KSSPPOP in Brno. Author of the project was PhDr. Jiri Paukert. New tours were open in 1999. Since 2002 the chateau is National Cultural Monument.

Lysice Chateau

Originally an early gothic castle built in the second half of the 13th century by the Lords of Lomnice. It had been reconstructed several times by 1558 – at the end of the 16th century it was reconstructed into a renaissance chateau and at the end of the 17th century in the baroque style. Then the chateau entrance was decorated with a renaissance portal relocated from Brno. Clearly the most interesting and most valuable feature of the chateau is the preserved high gothic chapel of St. Františka Serafínsky.

Lomnice Chateau

According to legend, the castle Veveří ("squirrel" in Czech) was founded by Přemyslid Duke Conrad of Brno in the middle of the 11th Century, then only as a hunting house. Nevertheless, the first credible recorded mention about the castle is from the years 1213 and 1222, when King Přemysl Otakar I used the fortified castle as a prison for rebellious peers. Initially, it was apparently a wooden residence situated near the Romanesque church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary west of the present compound. In the 1220s a stone castle on the extremity of the rocky promontory behind a deep moat cut out of the rock started to grow. The so-called keep is the only structure which has remained well-preserved from this oldest building stage.
King John of Bohemia pledged the castle to nobleman Jan of Vartemberk in 1311, but his son, Margrave of Moravia Charles (later Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV), received the property as a debt settlement in 1335. Charles´ younger brother, Margrave Jan Jindřich (John Henry), then took a fancy for Veveří Castle. He was responsible for the building of its rear part with two towers and an outer ward. In the central area around the keep, he developed the main palace, which included a large hall and the Chapel of St. Procopius (later of St. Wenceslaus). The present appearance of the compound is the result of these building activities, giving the castle its basic silhouette of a medieval fortress.
The castle was a military-civic centre around a manor until the Hussite Wars. During the Hussite wars, Emperor Sigismund positioned mercenary forces of his son-in-law, Albrecht of Austria, around the castle, but he later pledged it to local nobleman Petr Kutěj in 1424. The Hussites besieged the castle in vain during the years 1428–32. During the second half of the 15th century, the castle was rented by Przemyslaus II of Těšín, who decided to reinforce the castle with the construction of surrounding walls. In 1468, King of Hungary and antiking of Bohemia Matthias Corvinus started his occupation of the castle.
At the end of the 15th century, Václav of Ludanice acquired the castle and became the first representative of his noble family which resided here. But his mismanagement of expenses and debts resulted in the family's eventual sale of manor.

Veveří Castle

The chateau is located in a beautiful and tranquil natural setting on the outskirts of Brno near the Marian Valley nature area, the town of Slavkov (Austerlitz), the site of the historic Battle of Three Emperors, the Moravian Karst and the Drahany highlands.

Líšeň Chateau

One of the oldest Moravian castles, it was gradually rebuilt as a Renaissance-Baroque chateau. The interior, furnished with original furniture, introduces visitors to the lives of the last aristocratic owners. This valuable complex of chateau buildings is surrounded by a park built in the 17th century and expanded to the whole chateau hillock in the following century. The chateau park also features a unique dog cemetery.

Kunštát Chateau

Three-winged, two-storeyed chateau with three towers. Originally a castle, which Jan Haugvic of Biskupic had reconstructed into a renaissance chateau in 1568-1585. Reconstruction in the empire style took place in the 19th century.
